While I was living in China, I was my classroom monitor for six years. During that time, I remember how I used to organize who worked on all the blackboard posters, which we had in the back of our classroom for drawing and writing some poems and the head teacher of our grade would evaluate it every month. I always wanted to have everything close to perfection, so those blackboard posters were often pretty good, and they also helped me to win the respect of classmates. Until now my attitude hasn't changed much. I still have the tendency to be on top of things and keep everything organized and scheduled. Last summer, I have been a teacher assistant in a tutoring school in Brooklyn for student from age four to seventeen, Delight in Study. In daily routine, I assigned students some “Do Now” work before they have lessons with the teacher. When they need help, I gave some hints for them to solve problems and explained the answer at the end. In the afternoon, I had to lead the students to the lunchroom so that they could get their food one by one. Sometimes, the students needed to do some origami. I gave them instructions and showed them step by step. At the end of the summer, I required the students to give back their textbooks and put them in alphabetical order. While leadership is important to excel in business, creativity is also important. Last year, my friend and I came up a business idea which was to open a chain of bubble tea stores. We found out that young people love bubble tea very much and there were many bubble tea stores in the city, but there were few bubble tea stores nearby any colleges. College had the most teenagers and they had more consumptive power than high school students or elementary school students. We recognized this opportunity but we didn’t have the ability to set up and manage a business. Therefore, I have decided that Business Administration studies would allow my leadership and creativity to develop
