When you grow up most people lose memories from their past and eventually they just forget about it. Me especially, my past is very shady. The little events in my life have vanished from my brain and I cannot remember them. But there is something about football were I can remember every snap I have been in from the first day I strapped up my pads. Maybe it is because I put in so much effort and focus on the sport that even the settings of the games I remember. I always catch myself reminiscing on games back when I was in high school. The game has become a huge part of my life; almost everything I do is for football. One of my most treasured memories is my first ever college football game against Charleston Southern on September 7th, 2013 at 11am. Most of the people on the team this was just another game, but for me it was the start of a legacy that I’m trying to create. Every moment from when I first walked on campus I was preparing myself for that game. From the condition test where we had to run sixteen 110s to a week of two adays, I applied every focus I had to get on the travel team. A week before the game they decided to let the people know whether they made the travel squad or not. Once I saw my name I was so anxious for the game to start. A week later, September 6th rolled around, even though it felt like a year, and we were preparing to load the bus for our journey to Charleston, South Carolina. We got there a day earlier so we could be well rested for the game. I went to sleep early just so Saturday could come faster. Waking up was like a dream come true, it seemed like everything was enhanced. From August 12th I have been preparing for this day and that day has finally came, and in my heart I knew I was prepared and ready to go. The coaches prepared us well for this game. They taught us the plays that they run the most, the plays that they run the least, and even the trick plays that they run in the red zone or on special teams. After arriving to the Holiday Inn we were all scheduled to attend defensive, offensive, and special team. Before the game each group went over the pre-game planning going over the opposing teams game planning and what we have to do to win this game. Each game our defensive coach gives the whole defense tests about the assignments of everyone on the team. Every position has to know what everyone on the defense has on each play. I usually use that as a study guide before all our games. Around 10am we run out on the field for our usual warm-ups. At first the special teams go out on the field to kick some field goals, kick offs, and punts. Going out with them is the returners, which I’m a part of, to catch the kick offs and punt
