When we hear the word "America," many of us think of a land of freedom, opportunity, and success. America is known as the land of opportunity for many immigrants who dreams of a better life, even the natives, they feel that America is the land for them to success. There are many people who strongly believe that once they come to the United States it is almost guaranteed to find success. However, it seems like this country is no longer the land of opportunity for those who are immigrants and the low class people. First, many people think we can get better jobs in America, yet in fact, we can’t, and it also depends upon fortune. What’s more, education is too expensive to low class people and international students, the tuition costs more than their living expenses. And the only true opportunities were for the rich to become richer and the poor to become even poorer; it makes the gap between rich and poor become more and more serious. America is not the land of opportunity anymore. If so, the opportunities only belong to rich people. Of course, many immigrants still come to America, and they are in pursuit to try and make themselves and their families a better life. However, the reality is cruel. The struggle faced by immigrants who come to the United States is equally matched by the struggle they face to adjust into the American culture. In spite of that imagine if the hardship you put in to be accepted by the American culture was suddenly taken away by your new countrymen and they will leave you abandoned. Since the beginning of American history, United States has focused more about equal opportunity than any other country. There are many people believe that America is the land of opportunity and they might get high-paying jobs easily, yet the reality is not what they imagined.
