To Whom it May Concern, It has been a long time since I set my career goals. When I was in fourth and fifth grade, I watched my mom work at her office and I saw the intricate work being performed. I watched and asked questions as often as my mom or the doctor would allow. My interest continued to grow throughout my school years and I carefully mapped out a plan to successfully meet my career goal. School courses, volunteering in my mom's offices, researching and praying for direction have all come into play. Dentistry is the profession designed for people who have a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, intrigued by challenges and technology, have strong teaching and interpersonal skills and a desire to serve others. These characteristics describe me well. My career goal is to help people improve their quality of life by preserving and maintaining oral health. My goals include serving patients in underprivileged communities where there is a focus on oral health education. Although much work and dedication is required, my desire to serve others allows me to enjoy the challenges. Being accepted into the biology program at CUC will allow me to enter into the next challenge toward fulfilling my career goal. My educational goal is to attend an adventist university, enter into a biology program and obtain my undergraduate degree where a strong curriculum is combined with a strong spiritual experience. The sciences reveal so much about God's handy work and design that I want to study in a place where this fact is acknowledged, celebrated and encouraged. CUC is exactly that place. Further educational goals include going to dental school in Loma Linda, California CUC has created a strong and successful partnership with this institution and I am confident with the skills and knowledge I obtain from CUC that CUC will put me in a position to improve my chances of getting accepted into the dental program there.
