College Acceptance - Florida State University

Ever since I was a little girl, my dream has been to attend to Florida State University. I absolutely love everything about the school that I will be so lucky to call home starting this summer. I'll never forget hearing that the “verdict” was out after one of my basketball games, and anxiously racing home in anticipation of the fate of my future. When the web page finally loaded after what seemed like years, I glanced up and it was then that I saw the fireworks and the words, “Congratulations, and Welcome to Florida State University." I didn't even need to read any further, I jumped out of my chair and went sprinting around my house screaming as loud as I could and later proceeded to call every single person I knew and inform them of my acceptance. That night was undoubtedly one of the best nights of my life and a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life, but not for reasons that one might expect. What I loved most about that instant in my life was the distinct feeling of such immense accomplishment and pride in myself, a feeling like no other, and a feeling I plan to spend the rest of my life chasing after. That rush of achievement is unmatchable, fulfilling, and absolutely addicting, and it is ultimately because of this rush that I am so devoutly dedicated to my pursuit of success. Four years from now, I will hopefully be feeling that rush of excitement finding out that I got accepted into The University of Miami, the school where I would love to attend medical school. Although some might say that that is just a pipe dream, I know that I truly want it more than anything, and I will work hard until that dream turns into my reality. I am currently a senior at Fleming Island High School in Orange Park, Florida and I am graduating with a 4.3 GPA, am a member of the National Honor Society, enrolled in the Academy of Business and Finance, recognized by the College Board as an AP Scholar with Honors, and lettered in basketball f
