Marijuana, pot, weed, reefer, ganj, ganja, bud, grass, loud, yay, yayo, loud, Mary Jane, dope, skunk, or chronic; all of these words, and an estimated 300 others, refer to one plant and one drug. Marijuana is the most widely used drug in the world especially here in the U.S. Weed is so prominent in the U.S that in fact one out of every eight eighth graders, one out of every four tenth graders and one out of every three twelfth graders have used it in the past year, but 80% of students will try pot at least once by the time they graduate from high school. According to another scientific study marijuana rarely becomes addictive it is said that less than 3% of users will ever become addicted or dependant of the substance, so in theory to continuously smoke pot is a choice whereas 8% of ALL ADULTS in the U.S are addicted to alcohol. That is about 17.6 million people! This leads into the number one pro marijuana arguments; Marijuana is safer than alcohol. Every hour at least one person dies and twenty others die due to driving under the influence of alcohol. On the other side there are not even a fraction of those accidents due to driving under the influence of marijuana. Don't get me wrong I am not advocating driving under the influence of any mind alt
