Morocco is located in the north-west Africa and is the gate of Europe as well as open to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. This allows it to be strongly present and play a central role in the region. Morocco has diplomatic traditions and, through the centuries, woven historical ties with many countries. It is a Arab, Muslim, African and Mediterranean state. This multiple identity must be reflected in its foreign policies at all times. In the aftermath of independence, Morocco has opted for Liberalism; it is also a model of South-South integration on the one hand and adherence in regional and international bodies (UN, WTO) on the other. The dispute between Morocco and the independence-seeking Popular Front for the Liberation (POLISARIO) remains unresolved. Morocco and Algeria need to engage in unconditional negotiations. For this reason in order to establish beneficial relations in the region in general Morocco needs to focus its foreign policy on solving this issue. The completion of territorial integrity is the priority of the foreign policy of Morocco. Indeed, this artificial conflict is costing the country great efforts in the economical, technical and development fields. Morocco's future for now does not lie outside of the Grand Maghreb that's why it policies should work towards solidarity and integration in the region. The foreign policies should concentrate on establishing a GCC-Moroccan partnership as the Gulf countries have important investments for the state. Moroccan/African relations are still very good and it is important future foreign policy emphasis in the region as numerous opportunities for development are on the table. Furthermore the foreign policy is to enhance cooperation with the EU particularly in areas of common interest like Marine Fisheries, Agriculture and Migrations and also areas of security and terrorism. It is vital that the foreign policy stays in favor of the US as the two countries
