When I first started this math class, I did not expect I'd ever understand even the fundamentals of mathematics. Math was never my favorite subject, but I was usually got the hang of it; eventually. Before this mathematics class, I thought of math as a series of complicated, irrational formulas, if you understand them and are able to plug in the correct numbers into the formula you would be able to complete the problem with ease. Homework to Discuss and the Homework to Turn In was the most important piece I appreciated during this semester. Having the Homework to Discuss and the Homework to Turn In was a great asset to have which was outstanding to accomplish. As we started the course our professor told us about having to complete Homework to Discuss and the Homework to Turn In, I was confused and wondered why would we need both. After the first Homework to Turn In I understood the reason behind both assignments. Professor David Stone wanted us to fully understand the material before being graded and tested on it. I took that for granted in the beginning, since I took Mathematics A (Algebra/Geometry) and Mathematics B (Geometry/Trigonometry) in Bishop Kearney High School I thought I remembered all of the work material from years before. I was mistaken, the Homework to Discuss and the Homework to Turn In is a great tool to be able to give your students. It gives the class a chance to ask their questions for clearance of the material along with better assistance with their questions being answered after learning new material, before handing in work that will be graded. It also gives the class a chance to ask any additional questions they have before a test or an exam. As I'm finishing up this semester seeing how many different solutions there are for one type of question is mind-boggling. Along with different solutions I have come to realize how many different ways to figure out math problems. This mathematics class this semester was ve
