Obesity is one of the fastest growing health risks in the world. It is one of the major causes of heart disease such as high blood pressure, diabetes, breathing problems and more others. Therefore, obesity is a serious problem in our community. Children are subject to be more at risk because their health is still fragile. Since a few years ago, people feel more involved to talk about that topic. Even some schools started fighting against obesity. What are some ways used by those schools to fight a health issue which has nearly become an epidemic: obesity? This essay will discuss ways used by American schools to protect the health of children. Primarily, the meals serve at school are subject to be one of the cause of student's obesity. Avoiding fatty food and beverages full of sugar is a good starting to fight childhood obesity. Therefore, the schools authorities have to ban junk foods and soda from the menu of meal served at school. People who are healthy are those who consume less fat and sugar. It is proved that fruit and vegetables are very healthy because they also contains less fat. That idea to offer better food is very important that the Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said "any vending machines that remain in schools must be filled with nutritious offerings to make the healthy choice the easy choice for our nation's children. This citation is to explain that even the Government is aware that a good way to solve the issue is to start controlling the vending machines at school. Secondly, the next step is to encourage student to practice more exercise to reduce the risks of becoming obese or controlling obesity. In the whole world, everyone is aware that athletes are very healthy because they need to be in good body condition to well perform. Doctors often advise their patients to practice exercise because the only true way to burn fat from the body system is to exercise. Sweating during exercise is considered as burning of fa
