This shows that the country is getting closer to its broad goal of full employment, which is when the unemployment rate is from 3-4 percent. Another factor that is having a positive effect on the on the country's upward trajectory is the increase in consumer spending. Consumer spending is spending done by the consumers on final goods and services. As the activity of consumer spending increases, investment spending done by the businesses follows this activity and it also increase, which eventually benefits the economy.
