What would happen if everyone had an infinite amount of energy stored in his body? Sadly, a human being's body is designed so that he does not have an unlimited amount of energy; he actually has a very limited amount of energy that is stored within his body. People often consume products of nature to restore their bodies. The same goes for the planet earth. Earth does not store an unlimited amount of energy, and it feeds on the energy that is given by the sun. However, over the past few decades, humans have been using one main source to derive energy for their use and comfort: fuel. Earth, just like the bodies of its inhabitants, needs to take a rest and restore some of its energy before the people plunder it for energy again. Scientists observed nature to find different ways to harvest energy, so that people would not concentrate and deplete one source of energy. After their hard work and research, they have discovered that there is a gamut of energy sources other than burning fossil fuels. These different sources to obtain energy from are collectively called alternate energy sources. They allow humans to use various sources for energy, halting them from depleting the fuels of the earth and polluting it.
