Have you ever thought about weight lifting and getting into shape? I think I can speak for most people when it comes to that question. I have thought about weight training since I was six years old. I remember lifting ten pound weights over my head thinking I was super strong. I have always wanted to have muscles like the incredible hulk and super heroes like him. Let's be honest here too, we all thought that having big muscles and a six pack will get you the ladies. So as a young buck I started my journey in the weight room. Freshman year was the first real year I started consistently weight training. As a beginner I was timid and scared about certain workouts such as the squatting and deadlifting. My mentality was just bench press and arm workouts. I worked out more for the wellbeing of looking good. As a beginner yet I am very uneducated about how everything works. As a kid, I feel like I know everything though. So through freshman year to junior year my body didn't really see huge muscle and strength gains. I have to admit though, I was bigger than if I had not been in the weight room. I did a lot of cardio between those years also. I did not pay attention to my diet or calorie intake. I always lifted the same weight with high reputations. I thought my progress was normal because I was so uneducated about this subject. I was a very confident about everything at that age, and thought I knew what I was doing, but senior year came around. My senior year of high school was the year I took getting fit more seriously. I wanted to know more about the things I was interested in. Football was a big part of my life at the time, and I would do anything to keep it in my life.
