Men have always been dominant to women. Society is beginning to take over, and women are becoming more and more dominant to men every day. This is important because, men tend to lose their dignity when women are better than them, and this problem has got to change. Records show wives are more educated than their husbands because, marital timing, women's education, and the change in society. If the women are making a living for their family, what are the men supposed to do? The education of men and women are different in this time now, because of marital timing. Men and women tend to get too excited for marriage, "Some men and women choose to marry or form partnerships which result while in school ¦ or shortly after completing school" (Kevin Shafer 663). Men and women get excited about the idea of marriage, and marry before getting an education. Now it's impossible to get a good paying job without a degree, and this can also lead to wives being more educated than husbands. Shaffer argues "[less-educated people often marry earlier than highly-educated men and women some marriages do not have the patience to wait and get an education, "because they are younger when they complete their education" (Shafer 663). Men get upset when a women can do things better than he can, but if he settles for his wife to go to school and get an education than his wife will be more educated than him. Marital timing and "choosing the right one  has a lot to do with why wives are more educated than their husbands. Women sometimes have a rough time finding the right guy, and she settle's with the opposite of their liking. Marriage now has a greater chance of splitting up because, "in the sense of specialization in paid and unpaid work between husband and wife, was the glue keeping couples together.
