Pakistan, a land that is often related to the subjects of terrorism, crime, and violence, and all that is dark and grey. So dark, that people completely refuse to see the other side of the coin. Yes, there are plenty of problems in this country. Problems that have sprung up high in the last ten years, but that doesn’t mean we overemphasize on such subjects and ignore the positive side of the hard-earned land of Pakistan. Our country is in a state of transition, where everyone must play a role to change the social standards and norms of Pakistan. In this writeup, I will go over a list of subjects which have been long ignored by everyone, to prove that Pakistan is a country worth paying a visit to. Now what makes this state one of its own kind is partially the incredible history of the land itself. The ancient civilization, which if talked on, will mesmerize you with the abundant specifics the history has to offer. I do not wish to emphasize on the discovery of the civilization of the Indus Valley, but to make my point of ‘the incredible history’ clear, I’ll define a good part of it as a proud inheritor. The Indus valley region came about in picture in around 2500 B.C, alongside the Indus River valley. The discovery of the civilization took place in the 1920s at the two sites: Mohen-Jadaro, In Sindh, and Harappa, In Punjab, which now have become worth-visiting places in Pakistan, in terms of history and civilizations. The Indus valley region has been a source line of transmitting a number of cultures and languages that popped up in that era. This makes me feel deeply enrooted and connected to my soil as well as to the ancient human civilizations and cultures; because these sites are still alive and great tributes are still being made, in forms of festivals, to preserve them in their original forms.
