The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is the last test that I took in counseling class. Basically, it is a fantastic test which helps you identify jobs and occupations that fit for your reported MBTI type. It took me half an hour to complete, but it's worth it. It is divided into five sections. The first section is the summary of your MBTI results. The second section shows how your type affects your career choice, while the third section lets you know how your type affects your career exploration. The fourth one tells you how your type affects your career development. Finally, the final section lists job families and occupations for your type, ranking of job families, most popular occupations, and least popular occupations. In the first section, my type is INFP (I= Introversion, N= Intuitive= Feeling, Perceiving). I got 10 points for I, 4 for N, 8 for feeling, and 9 for perceiving. The scores are not very clear (It's clear or very clear when you get up to 15 points). Therefore, mine is very moderate, and I think I need a clear result in order to have an exact type. Nevertheless, by reading definitions of my 4 letters, I think they sound like me. For example, I says that I tend to focus on the inner world of ideas and impressions, or F tells that I tend to make decisions based primarily on values and on subjective evaluation of person-centered concerns. The second section shows me how my type affects my career choice by dividing into two parts: Preferred Work Tasks and Preferred Work Environment. The first parts includes some tasks such as helping others develop or learn, expressing creativity through writing or visual arts, or working on projects that are personally meaningful. The second part indicates work environment such as fosters cooperation and helping or trusts people to work autonomously without close supervision. Moving on to the third section, it tells me how my type affects my career exploration by listing my type strengths, and
