After a defeat over the British, the United States gained the land west of the colonies in a Treaty. This provided a territory for much desired expansion of the family farmers to the north and planters to the south. As a main generator of wealth for the planters in South United States, slave labor was responsible for the escalation of the need for expansion westward. At the same time it influenced the changes occurring to the north where slavery did not exist. Slave labor system was the reason for the economic success in the United States as it becomes the world's major producer of cotton, the most traded commodity in early 19th century. The growing greed of the American farmers and planters to expand westward was responsible for series of contradictions, concerning the fate of the Indian nations, the conflict weather this soil should be slave or free, and ultimately the desire for more land inflicting more conflict and tension with the neighboring British colonies. A contradiction that arose in the period after the American Revolution is depicted the video Tecumseh's Vision, explaining about Americans attempt to quell the Indian nations in that Ohio valley region. Indians led by a very famous American Indian, Tecumseh, and his brother, who was a very famous spiritual leader realized that if they did not stop the settlers, they would lose everything. A range of Indian nations, stretching from what is today Michigan all the way down to what is today Alabama, united to attempt to save their lands from the expansion of the United States westward. The video shows the organization of the Indian nations that resided through those territories by the Tecumseh, who would call it a Pan-Indian rebellion. A rebellion of many Indian Nations, uniting to try and stop the extension of agriculture by the United States. The video shows their heroic, in their eyes defeat, and the outcome is that Tecumseh's Pan-Indian rebellion is the last major defense
