Alfred Kinsey was born into a very strict and profoundly religious family and the topic of sex would have never been brought up because they saw it to be "bad . During his later years, he joined a Boy Scout troop and in there he taught and mentored other scouts and gave them advice on masturbation for example. He would then read from the bible to them and tell them that they need to resist because it is seen as sinful and pray- seeing as though that is all Alfred has been taught. This is probably why he had an immense interest in biology since he was a kid. When he told his father he wanted to become a biology professor, his father pressured him to forget that and be an engineer, but he ignored his father and became one anyway. After he got married, he got recent visits from students asking about problems they have with sex, and referring to his relationship with his own wife, he noticed the society's beliefs were simply misinformed and made him change his career to sexology. Because he witnessed so much ignorance concerning sexuality, he decided to create a class that teaches students all they need to know about sex; he got his information from his students and volunteers using private interview surveys. I agree with Kinsey that everyone wants and tries to be the same. I do not know why our society strives to be the same when everyone is different and they should be allowed to like and dislike whatever they want. I guarantee that people who want to be the "norm  will possibly not get the sexual experience they want or at least won't be completely satisfied because they aren't being entirely truthful with their partner. I completely agree with Kinsey that people do betray their own nature in order to fit in with society. This exemplifies that people are just obeying some person who started a particular trend that a position or form of arousal for example, is weird and not the norm; this then makes people who were uneducated follow
