This fictional short story is about a girl, Freya, and her friend Pearl. They are both in a relationship. Pearl is going to have a meeting with an Asian guy, who are like a guru. The reason why she has to meet him is that she is not getting enough hugs, from her husband, Jacob. And that's what this "guru  does, he hugs you. Freya is taking with Pearl to the first meeting, but it is not going like they expected. Pearl ran away, before Freya could stop her, and Freya did the meeting on her own. The story takes place in a modern world. Freya and Pearl is having a normal girly conversation, which developed into an innocent dilemma for Freya. But in the Asian guy is leading the way for her with his charm. It's a third person narrative. We have access to Freya's thoughts about her own situation and Pearl's. The characters are described by what they think, say and do, and the narrative voice reflects the narrator's personality. Characterization of Freya Freya is a woman I her forties. She is married to the physiatrist, Mukesh, and their daughter is in college. Freya is jealous of her friend Pearl. Freya does not have any job, but she is an volunteer as an assistant in the local school. Freya is a woman who needs to be in control with herself, but she would like to live a more spontaneous life. Once a month her and her husband is going to the local movie, and after that, her husband wants to analyze the movie, which Freya finds very annoying and unnecessary, but she just listens, never complaining. Something has happened to Freya in her earlier years, something we don't hear about. She hasn't even told Mukesh about it. She wants to be helped and wants someone to care for her, more than her husband does.
