As human beings we are very complex organisms. We comprise of many different parts such as the mind, the soul and the physical body that all work together to create the state of life that we are living in. Every person is different, we all interpret things differently and react to things differently. This is a result of the feelings created inside us. But how are these feelings created? Is it done by some physical and chemical reaction in our bodies or is it done by the soul? It is strongly believed among the public that there is a consciousness inside us that differs right from wrong. When we think about ourselves there are things that cannot be explained by science but can only be felt for example, our emotions. These are the things that separate the mind and the soul. The human mind is a logical and reasoning device, at least that's what it should be. When we think about things, based on our values and beliefs, we decide whether or not that thing will be beneficial to us and if so is it worth the trouble. This is exactly what the mind does. It evaluates the situation and formulates possible outcomes. That's all. For example, imagine that you are a "big-time  investor and you see a great investment in creating a waterpark at a certain location. The location is perfect to draw in people and create revenue. There is just one tiny issue. That location is occupied by a trailer park where poor people live. It will be easy to get rid of the people so that is not the major problem. The problem is, will it be the right thing to do? The mind is not concerned with the moral aspect of this situation. All it does is tell you that this location is ideal hence you will become richer. Now try to picture a person in that situation that only follows his or her mind. This person has no consciousness. He or she will them remove the poor people from their homes and become richer.
