When you are sitting on the edge of your chair just waiting and hoping to witness a miracle, words cannot describe the adrenaline rush running through you. Your heart is beating so fast it feels like you are at the game and then it happens. Your favorite team hits the game-winning shot, the walk-off homerun, or the game-winning hail-mary touchdown pass. For many people, there is no greater excitement than watching sports. When you get home from work, school, church, or whatever the day may have consisted of, the fact that your favorite sports team is playing, makes the day so much better. It allows you to put away all the worldly distractions that are going on in this messed up world and enjoy something you love. It is a time where you can gather with people and have a good time regardless of who is pulling for what team. If anything, it is an opportunity to learn. It is not too often you get to see the most talented people in the world do their job. This all adds to the excitement and causes our attention to be solely on the game. Sports serve as a getaway for some people. The economy is suffering and it is not getting any better. There is war everywhere in the world. There are people getting murdered and crime happening constantly. In today’s society, we are constantly getting pounded with negativity. There is nothing ever positive on the news anyway. So for whatever sports season it is, and whatever game is on, I guarantee you it is more enjoyable than the majority of the shows on television. Sports are like Christmas for some people. You are ready for it again the day it ends. It is what you look forward to for a whole year. Also, more than likely, your family or friends are there which usually means amazing food. If there is no food, then you and a group of friends may go to a nearby restaurant where everybody is there to watch the game.
