What high school student enjoys carrying giant textbooks around all day? After years of this constant hassle students have become accustomed to it, but that does not mean it is fun. Most standard size textbooks are usually five-hundred pages or more. Having five or six of these books in your locker and using them all daily has become very inconvenient. With the newest advancements in technology, almost all schools can become textbook free, but first they must consider the consequences of this idea. There are many pros to having laptops instead of textbooks, but there are also some major cons. Keeping track of all the different classes, notebooks, and textbooks one student has to deal with every day can sometimes become hard. Many people will forget to bring their textbooks to class and will be without their key learning tool for that specific subject. If students had a laptop, they would only need to remember to bring one thing to class everyday, and no one would do without. All school textbooks are made of paper which means they are more easily damaged than a laptop . When someone damages or loses one of their textbooks, they have to buy a new one, which will cost them anywhere from around one-hundred to five-hundred dollars.
