Among society are individuals who are intellectually adventurous and curious. For this, there lives fear of the unknown, as well as fear of knowing too much or experimentally going too far. At one point, there must be a limit, even if it requires unanswered questions to be left and kept unanswered. Manipulation of human cloning is the limit. Reasons for limitations are dangerous risks including intervention with individuality, financial stability and discrimination as well as moral issues. Mary Shelly's Frankenstein refutes and exudes the negative reality of human cloning within the advancement of genetic engineering, specifically germ line gene therapy. Although human cloning may provide society with positive outcomes, it is too risky to advance in testing due to the uncertainty of the outcomes and results in the end. All forms of germ line genetic engineering involving humans should be prohibited due to the dangerous factors that are included. One of the most controversial concerns that have people debating is application of the type of genetic engineering used on plants and animals to be tested on human beings. This type of human genetic engineering is referred to as germ line gene therapy best associated to correct severe hereditary defects or immune deficiencies. It is believed that the use of germ line gene therapy may leads to positive eugenics, a process directed towards enhancing or improving humans. This process directly alters the genetic structure of an organism to enhance it with desired traits. There are many risks that should be considered before deciding to improve human genes. Genetic therapy poses a more serious situation for future generations. There are too many drawbacks to justify these risks. Genetic therapy, like genetic enhancement, not only is permanent during the lifetime of the affected individual, but also, the new genes become inheritably transmitted to members of future generations. It is neither safe nor
