Old classics are always entertaining to read, especially all time adventures like The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Robin Hood, or The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. They are all timers for a reason. These are books that were written hundreds of years ago by people who were, well, just people. Well, why would they become all time classics? Tom Sawyer is an active and naughty boy who likes to go on wild adventures. He also has a kind heart and fights for justice. He falters until he has finished his objective to do something. For example, when he tries to win Becky's love, he doesn't stop showing off in front of her until she throws a pansy at him, showing him that she recognized his talents. He also has talents for persuading people to join him or to do something for him. An example of this can be found when Tom gets Ben Rogers to even give up his apple to whitewash the fence, which was actually work, more than art. Tom had made the work change into a form of art. This persuaded basically every child in the neighborhood to coat the fence 3 times! But later in the book, he progresses so that he puts other's needs before his like when Becky accidentally ripped the page of the teacher's book. He also leads his friend Huckleberry to say the right thing in Muff Potter's unfair trial against Injun Joe. Once Becky Thatcher, Tom's girlfriend, had invited him to her picnic party. They went over to the caves with many friends to play hide and seek. The caves were a long series of tunnels linked together way back before anyone could remember. They were very deep, and only a small portion of the cave was actually known to the people of the village. It was unbelievably dangerous to go into the caves and venture about, because it was like a maze, you could get lost in a matter of minutes if you didn't follow the well worn path that the other's took. Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher had the misfortune to get lost in the caves, aimlessly wandering around
