Max and Maxine are taking the pilot licensing exam. They are close childhood friends. They have both attended several years of schooling to lead up to this point. Maxine is an excellent exam taker and has finished her test early enough to look over it and double check her answers. She looks over to see that max is sweating and seems nervous. He is having a difficult time even getting pass the first question. Maxine could help her friend and slip him the answers on a spare sheet of paper. But getting caught cheating would result in both Maxine and Max both failing the exam and being banned from ever taking the exam again. Maxine can either play it safe (for herself) or watch her friend struggle or she can risk it all and help Max pass the exam. Choosing the right thing in a particular situation can be difficult sometimes. Whether it is because of a personal relationship, morals, or even the possible outcome of the act. If I were in Maxine's shoes I would choose to help my longtime friend, Max, pass the test. Yes, it is cheating and some people would think it very wrong to do so. But it would be very difficult for me to watch someone I know struggle with something that has come so easy to me. When I can help someone to succeed I will always jump at the opportunity. With the risks being so high though I would think twice. If I had enough lead way to not get caught, (i.e. instructor not paying attention or left the room) I would definitely help my friend. But if the instructor was very alert and watchful then it would be more difficult and I might not be able to help. I will always put others first though (as long as it doesn't hurt me). The ethical care perspective is closes to the decision and reasoning I would make. The care ethics perspective centralizes on the needs of others. Seeing how Max has not even answered the first of many questions on his exam it is obvious that he need help. It will benefit Max for the better if Maxine slip
