At the age of 12, gifted with an old soul and a mature mind, Hi?u lived a lonesome life. One would always find Hi?u in the dusty old town library; buried in books about philosophy. Due to his level of intelligence, he never found entertainment in people his own age and often judged by those older than him. One day outside of the library, reading an adventure novel, Hi?u read silently like always. A popular piece of fiction, ventured far from his usual choice of factual nonfiction. As Hi?u read the novel, his eyes began to squint making his eyes sore. He glanced up to face the bright distraction ruining his reading session. “I would greatly appreciate it if you dimmed your light long enough for me to continue past the first page!” Snarled Hi?u. Not expecting an answer from the sun, Hi?u jumped up from his position and stomped towards the library. As smoke was billowing out of Hi?u’s ears, a godly voice replied. “I would comply to your request, however, you show no manners in your vast knowledge of the world; only when you show etiquette will I dim my light for you.” Said the Sun. In Hi?u’s astonishment laid a strike to his ego and a wave of modesty overcame him. With crimson cheeks, the embarrassed boy returned to his former position and opened his book. “Would you dim your light please?” “Certainly.” Now able to read the novel, Hi?u developed a strong inclination to fiction, a refreshing change of writing he never would’ve thought he’d enjoy. Four hours passed, Hieu had not moved from his seat on the pavement as the story hooked his attention. As the minutes flew by, the Sun grew curious as to why the boy was so fascinated. In order to feed his curiosity, the Sun slowly crept to the west every minute to catch a peek at the page.
