On Sunday September 28, 2014 was the kick off for the start of Alabama A&M University Homecoming. I attended the Gospel Explosion because I wanted to go out to see some of the talent that my peers had in the music realm. There are many students at Alabama A&M University that has great talent but is afraid to use it. Most people need others to motivate them in order to get them out of their comfort zone. In this world today, there are a lot of people that suffers from low self-esteem. My definition of low self-esteem is when someone do not feel comfortable with themselves and they focus more on what other people think instead of being what God created them to be. The Gospel Explosion had many choir groups to come up and sing an A and B selection. The songs that all of the choir’s song put the audience upon their feet. It touched my heart to look up in the stance to see the students fill up the gym. I was shocked that I saw that many people. Normally when someone mention gospel, they are not interested in going. Alabama A&M choir began to sing and while they were singing, they had chills running through my body. They sent praises up to God and they let God use them while they were singing. As I began to look all around in Elmore Gym, there were hands going up to God to worship him. I felt happy down on the inside knowing that God was pleased to see his people worshiping him like they did on that Sunday evening. As I looked to my right side, there was this girl saying thank you Jesus repeatedly . egan to converse with her. What’s your name? My name is Dominique. Are you saved? Yes! I just love the way that you praise God. You don’t care who watches you. To God be the glory. Are you saved? I’ve been watching the way you carry yourself. Yes I’m saved.
