The founding fathers that wrote the Declaration of Independence would not only change the government and the culture of the United States, but it would shape the thinking of the world. In Philadelphia the founding fathers and congress were making the final changes to the Declaration of Independence. The document was finished on July 2nd but wasn’t introduced to the people until the 4th of July. Which ideals of the Declaration is the most important to society? Society will argue that the right to alter and abolish a government is important because people should have the right to change or destroy a corrupted government. People want equal rights in a society so they can be equal and have the same rights and no one can claim that they are more superior than one another. As immigrants coming to the U.S. Diana Pham’s daughters had an equal opportunity to achieve an education as well a chance to succeed like everyone else. “ My daughters, like other Americans, had an equal opportunity to succeed.” (Doc A). Her daughters coming from a different country were able to be a regular American and get an education just like every other person in America. “ America has given our family the chance to become whatever we choose to become” (Doc A). Their family wasn’t afraid to be what they want because they felt equal and had the same rights like everyone and they were comfortable. This is important because everyone has the same rights and to be treated the same. Having the same equal opportunities will only have people put more effort into what they just because they want to be successful. The Declaration states that everyone has the right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
