The AES is a system that able to sense and capture the car that exceeds the designated speed limit for a specified stretch of road or drives through a red light (typically at an intersection) then the AES camera will be triggered to capture the image of the vehicle, the JPJ will then issue summons to the offenders after verification. The reasons why AES shouldn’t be abolished are listed as following. First of all, ever since the implementation of AES cameras in areas where there is a significant accident record, the rate of driver speeding and red-light violations have been reducing which means the rate of road accidents reduces as well.
