The U.S / China Student Summit 2014 was a really pleasant and beneficial experience for me in general. Firstly, I have to admit that the student summit was not exactly how I anticipated it to be but even better! Initially, I thought that the entire student summit would be how it is like while we were sitting in the conference hall listening to the speakers with the addition of different groups of students from different countries and schools / colleges going up to give us speeches of different issues that they would be sharing, performing skits etc. and not how we will all be all grouped differently into respective classes and to perform our tasks with the group that we were placed in. Nonetheless, I would love to say that I enjoyed every aspect of the summit, there were inevitably a few activities that were more interesting and engaging which stood out to me. We learn not only from our experience but also from the reflection on our experience. Thus, in this essay, I would like to state some specific moments of the Summit in detail, which really holds a deep meaning for me. The first particular moment that I would like to talk about, would be the time whereby everyone was being assigned to different classes and groups to participate in the interactive small group activities held in Tsinghua International School Classrooms. Since, everyone from Worldstrides that I was traveling with was being separated from each other, I had to arrive into a classroom of about 22 other students that I have never met or interacted with before. In which, upon everyone reaching into the classroom, we had to all introduce ourselves to one another and also, I managed to get to know some of the students better via the few hours of interactions. For example, the first activity that we did was the ice-breaker game whereby within each group, we were to find out about each other's similarities, differences and what are each other's unique points. This activity did not start out easily as most of my group members were shy and quiet which I had to step up to encourage and warm them up with another group member of mine before we were able to get everyon
