Second floor Library of the QEII, where I sit there is a large hole in the floor surrounded by a white metal railing, where you can look down and see the main lobby. Looking around I see a lot of beige, walls, ceilings, floors and pillars. Then at the very back one wall is painted a vibrant red. Libraries are already pretty dull and boring; one would think the designers could have made the room more colorful. Not much artwork hung on the walls except one painting of an elder looking man whom seems to be having nothing but a bad hair day, placed at the end of a narrow hallway where I’m almost positive that no one notices unless they’re looking, as am I. In the middle of the giant hole looking into the main lobby is a giant hanging metal figure, resembling up scaled babies mobile, which looks to have a sea creature theme but only if you use your imagination. Aqua blue, silver and black pieces of shiny metal which resemble fish like figures are scattered throughout hanging from what seems like nothing however I’m sure it’s some sort of fish wire. At the top a giant piece of black metal, which could quite possibly be a shark and some smaller pieces that if you tilt your head and close one eye look like they could be jelly fish. Signs stating to talk quietly to respect others yet you can clearly hear conversations between groups of people most rarely talk about their studies but mostly their personal life. What they did this weekend, What Jimmy said to Joe, What kind of shoes a certain person wears. Like really does it matter the kind of shoes Sally wears? People seem to be so judgmental these days. Others do talk of their studies, assignments they had just received, explaining the assignment to one another and how they feel it should be done, asking questions to one another. Should I write this? What does that mean? Is there a certain way I should describe this? One group in particular were debating the term “geezer” is it
