Ever since I was a little kid, I have always loved being in the outdoors. The smell of the fresh air and the feel of the wind blowing is to me, one of the best feelings ever. One of my biggest hobbies is knee boarding. All I have to have is a boat, a decent board, and big lake to make me happy. In order to kneeboard, I have to slowly get up on a board behind a moving boat, all while I keep my balance and hold onto a ski rope. This can be a very tricky task, especially if the water is wavy. One day, a knee boarders worst nightmare happened to me. I hit a large wave, causing me to fall forward and my nose hit the front tip of the board. All because of this accident, I had to go to the hospital to get my nose x-rayed, which was very expensive, and when I get older I will have breathing problems due to it healing incorrectly. A soon as the accident happened; I was then rushed to the hospital because my nose was obviously broken and bleeding uncontrollably. The doctor said I had broken one of the bones in my nose. I then had to undergo emergency surgery because I was at risk for aspirating on blood. The surgery took a few hours to complete, because the nose is a very difficult thing to operate on. If it wasnt done just right, I could then not be able to breathe properly. I was then sent home so my nose could heal. The doctor told me to come back in a few weeks to take the stitches out and get more x-rays to make sure my nose healed right. When I went back to my final check up, the doctor told me that the tissue did not heal correctly like it was supposed to, but it was nothing to worry about at the moment, but it could lead to problems with my breathing as I got older. During the weeks of me going from doctor to doctor, my family and I had very many doctor bills come in.
