Someone worth praising or someone he should be hated upon. In my opinion, I believe that he is a hero that did many people a favor. He spread many ideas around the world. People might think that Christopher Columbus is a villain because he tortured many to achieve his goals. He may have mistreated the Native Americans, but a hero is a man of courage and ability, and that exactly what he is. He never gave up in the journey of finding what he needs. But what is he really? Certainly, an idol. There are many reasons why Christopher Columbus can be seen as a good person. In the 1200's Europe began trading with the Far East for spices and goods. However, the during the mid-1400's the trade route was blocked, Christopher Columbus and his brave ways decided to travel west on the Atlantic to find a new route. Christopher Columbus is a hero because he increased trade between different regions of the world. After he discovered the New World he went back to Europe and began trading goods between Europe, the Americas, and Africa. They traded things such as people, plants, animals, foods, and cultures. This interaction was also known as the Columbian Exchange. He spread many ideas, such as religion. His king and queen, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, funded his trip to Asia to spread his religion of Christianity so that it could bring peace and unity to the world. Lastly, he is a savior because he wrote about his journey to the Americas. He wrote about the great treasures found in the so called "Indies .
