As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate. Humans have reached a stage when each and every work can be automated through technology. This reduces human efforts. Technology has reached a remarkable development. It is through technology that humans can achieve higher level of thinking and development. Technology has helped man in creating new and innovative ideas quickly. We are living in the era where the technological development has reached, great heights. Technology has helped humans gain all the comforts of life. We can travel hundreds of miles away from us through air. We communicate with people through mobiles and telecommunication technology. Our relatives and friends are just a click away, from us. Internet provides us with any information within minutes, not even minutes but within seconds. Internet has created a web of information which can be accessed from anywhere at any particular time. Technology has helped us innovate. It has increased the human ability to create and think. The statement above claims that human’s ability to think will surely subside if we heavily rely on technology. I partly agree with the statement when the author mentions that over-dependence on technology will surely deteriorate human ability to think. Basically, technology has been developed to serve humans, the dependence on technology should not be so abundant that we become slaves of technology and the technology starts mastering us. The example that, I would like to mention is about the overuse of calculators have definitely reduced the students ability to calculate even simple mathematical problems.
