What is "grit?" To me grit is taking on challenges. Not giving up when things get tough. It means to persevere. To take risks and make mistakes. When you take risks you make mistakes. Then when you make mistakes hopefully you learn from them. When you make mistakes you're trying not to give up. And no matter what you can't give up. You gotta just keep trying no matter what, because if you don't try you're not gonna do anything. In the movie Radio Coach Jones and Radio are gritty in many ways. Everyone can be gritty. I can also be gritty and intend to try to be gritty. I will tell you some ways that I intend to do that. Radio was gritty in many ways. He was the most passionate person you could ever meet. He cares for everyone. Radio would never hurt a soul. I doubt he would even hurt a fly. Radio makes mistakes and he learns from them. Here is an example of a mistake Radio made that he learned from: two boys on the football team tricked Radio into going into the girl's locker room. Radio ended up going in and he knew not to no matter what. From that incident Radio learned that he was not to go in the girl's room and who he can trust. The funny thing is Radio kept being nice to the boys. He tried to be friends with the boys even though though boys kept pushing him down. I think that is gritty of Radio because I would have said forget it and treated them badly. I would figure out how to get back at them. But no, Radio was so caring. He was being gritty by taking risks because he kept being nice to the boys and going around then. Radio didn't know if the boys would hurt him or not. Through everything Radio stayed caring and true to himself. He persevered through through the whole thing. How else was Radio gritty?
