With so many different styles of essays to write, I was shocked to find out that I have never written a proper research paper. I now see the difference in essay writing styles and formats. Taking the time to do research on a topic you might not know that much about helps tremendously. Most essays when given the choice on what to write make it easy, most people will find they can write page after page if they are writing about something they have an abundance of knowledge or are very interested in the topic. There is major importance in writing a research paper not only to learn more on the topic but to also provide the reader with facts and other writer's insight on the topic. Why did I pick the topic internet and politics? That's a pretty easy question to answer. I will be the first to admit I am 29 years old and still have not voted in any election. I've never voted for president, mayor, congressman, or bill. I have recently learned my lesson and will be voting in the next election (any election on any issues). I grew up believing that politicians are liars, fraudulent and greedy, and no one's vote or opinion matters. It all started when I learned how we vote for our president. When I learned that my vote is what's called the popular vote and there are people that have actual vote for president (Electoral College) I decided to stay away from politics. Now that issues are more in my face and made more aware to me through the news, my friends and family on Facebook, yahoo, CNN, Fox news and any other form of media it is easier to be aware of what's going on. And whether or not voting might make a difference not voting definitely does not make any difference. I found it very helpful to use UMUC's library database for my research paper, not only was it very helpful but also very easy to use. Most of my research in the past has been done solely on internet (Google, Wikipedia, and other search engines) or the most difficult ways for some o
