Different people have different ways to raise their kids. This comes back at which culture you come from and how you were raised yourself. This article that are written by Amy Chua mentions how Chinese mothers raise and how they press their children contrary to Western Mothers. Amy Chua has a very strong opinion about how the best way to raise children make them ready for the future. The methods she is talking about, she believes that it’s the best way to make the children stronger and more self-confident. In the article, "Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior," Amy Chua points out how this raising method is better than the method they use in the western. She puts them up against each other and compares them to make it clear that the Chinese mothers aren't hard on their kids but that they actually just want’s to give them the best future and convince other that they just believe that their kid can be the best if they just practice to be better. For an example for this she uses one of her own histories with one of her daughters once she were about to learn a piano piece. Chua had small arguments with her husband, who’s a western, about how she was putting a press on their daughter and threatened about taking presents and events away even the dinner until she learned the piece. As she writes in the article “The house became a war zone, and I lost my voice yelling, but still there seemed to be only negative progress, and even I began to have doubts. Then, out of the blue, Lulu did it.” Even though she kept press her daughter into learning the piece, and started to have doubts about that being the right way to raise your child it paid of in the end. She means that the western parent are too good with their kids and that they just accept if the kid wants to give up because the kid doesn't believe in themselves and there I must say that she really has a point.
