How many people in the world do not consider school to matter? Something that Epictetus once said was, "only the educated are free." This means that once you have a superb educated life and know what your choices are, then you are free to choose any career you wish. I see children in the world that do not take school seriously and think that it is a big joke. the end of their years fooling around and not taking school seriously will not have a successful career. Also, they will be miserable and feel as if they didn't work up to their potential goals. In my opinion, this quote puts a large impact on my life and really pertains to how I want to feel about a free life in years to come. All in all, having a serious,legitimate young learning experience, and focusing on school in a life crisis will assure that anyone can become free and successful. When I started coming to Wall Intermediate School several years ago I didn't exactly take into consideration that in seven years I'd be pursuing college and starting to plan out my life, similar to how I scheduled my current school curriculum. When eighth grade came along I knew that I'd need to think about my future. I told myself if I want a prestigious, high paying job, working towards good grades would really matter. When you think about education and where you want to be after college, it really makes you jump and start focusing.
