The Declaration of Independence, a manuscript created to mark the autonomy of our new nation, set the tone for the idea of the American Dream and affected how it adapted throughout our country's history. The inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness set forth in the first lines of the Declaration are the main basis for the American Dream ideal. The citizens of the United States all embark on their respective pursuits of happiness, and through this, social status is achieved, while the rights to life and liberty allow Americans this pursuit of their respective happiness and endeavors in life. Some people believe the American Dream ideal will always be a part of our country's culture, serving as an everlasting for all Americans to come. Being able to get up when you fall down is just apart of life and to achieve the American dream. In our constitution it say “we the people” that document is for us and us to have the realization of what freedom is. The promise for America to millions was “dream of forest and meadows waiting for those who'd worked a thousand years yet never owned their own.” The people in foreign country only dream to be here and are willing to go out of there way to make it here just to have a chance of living there American dreams. Europe to American goes into great depth to convey their American dream. People who are born and raised in America have a different idea of the American dream than many others would agree with. Most American agrees that being wealth is apart of the competing the American dream, which isn’t true for all. The American dream isn’t about how wealth you are or how picture your family appears to be, it’s about how hardworking, and dedicated you are to your ultimate goal. For some of the people traveling to America to find the American dream making it to Ellis Island and wait for their dream to become reality and step on to American soil is some of their dreams.
