The most popular student at school is throwing a party. A guy who does not attend parties frequently, decides to go. He sees everyone doing things that he would never imagine doing. Eventually, he is offered a puff of marijuana. Without knowing he is under peer pressure, the curious boy inhales the marijuana, and is immediately addicted. Marijuana is very addictive, and can cause many health problems. Medical Marijuana should be illegal because it can cause addiction, legal problems, and possible consumption by people that don’t have health problems. Medical marijuana has always been a controversial topic. Many think that the drug should be legal. Romans and Ancient Greeks were familiar with cannabis, and it spread throughout the Islamic empire to North Africa. In North America, cannabis was grown in plantations in the form of hemp for use in clothing, paper, and rope. Today, some people use the drug recreationally, and inappropriately. It is not meant for getting intoxicated while you’re in public. Medical marijuana is only for patients in need of the drug, or even cannabis oil. Although many people think that marijuana does not have any harmful effects, they are wrong. Marijuana affects your physical behavior and mental state. Additionally, it can easily become a strong addiction. Medical marijuana should be illegal since over use of the drug will lead to addiction. A large amount of people who plan on only trying it for the first time will get addicted. Studies show that when people use anything that puts their health in danger, it’s very difficult to cure the problem. The pleasure that comes along with marijuana is intense, and it makes the person unknowingly addicted little by little. 9 out of 10 people who use marijuana, will become dependent on it.
