There are different kinds of ads such as, print advertising, billboards, radio, television, online, and others. All of these ads can explain different ideas. Recently, I have been noticing ads showing importance of preparedness for natural disasters. I have chosen an ad that has grabbed my attention, in multiple circumstances. Not every natural disaster and is the same. Some may have just a picture, or words. My ad specifically has a little bit of both. It shows the importance of being prepared for a natural disaster. It also catches a reader’s eye since it stands out. This natural disaster ad may be common, but there is nothing wrong with something simple to get your point across. This natural disaster advertisement reminds me of the saying, "A picture’s worth a thousand words." This is very true throughout this ad. It shows several pictures in a circle, cut up into triangles. There are eight different pictures explaining different concepts of natural disasters. When looking at this simple natural disaster ad, you can at notice the words, "Be Prepared!" They are diagonally placed across the ad, in orange. These two simple words explain so much, since they are quite big and noticeable; that way you know that they are trying tell you to, "Be prepared!" After looking passed the words, there is a circle cut into triangles, similar to a pizza. When children look at this and they will be more drawn to it because it looks like pizza, and children love pizza. In each triangle, it shows a different picture.
