The article I choose as my topic for this research paper is about robots in Japan that are going to be able to run the "Strange Hotel." Seemingly not easy to believe, this project will be opening on the grounds of a Japanese theme park. As awkward as it is going to be to have to talk to a robot when purchasing your room, could this be a good thing for the community in Japan? Many questions involving the issue of mechanical people running an entire hotel could be the last thing anybody wants to deal with. This "robotic hotel" will be ninety percent run by robots. They will be running the counters, greeting people, and even cleaning the rooms. That being with the assistant of very few humans. The hotel is set to open this year in July and will have huge technological advances throughout the hotel not including just the robots. It is said that there will be facial recognition to enter the rooms, no longer will there be the traditional keys. The prices range from about seventy-seven dollar for a single bed to three hundred and seventy-four dollars. Once the times comes the Japanese government will be able to see the impact of having robots run the company. Also other countries will be able to see if this may be something that they could invest in. My personal opinion on this subject is that it most definitely will not work. You can't control a whole company through robotic figures. They don't have the same physical ability to react to a disastrous situations. Money could be stolen from the hotel, and personally I don't believe a robot could catch a human. Another issue would be is that jobs are being taken away from the people of the community in need of work. Although saving money for the government by not having to pay people and being to save that money. This hotel will allow for human beings to stay, but will not be fit for human beings if you ask me.
