The purpose of this research paper is to examine the influence of culture on attitudes, values, perception, human behavior, and interpersonal relations. The discriminatory factors that promote societal, political, socioeconomic, and spiritual oppression of culturally diverse populations will also be illustrated in this paper. The paper would also observe the racial and cultural diversity within non-native English-speaking communities. Furthermore, this paper will also scrutinize how current research may positively impact the delivery of public safety and enhance the evaluation of information and resources. Finally, the chosen articles used for this paper will be evaluated on the basis of their reliability and credibility. Influence of Culture Some cultures frequently can have a radical influence upon attitudes, values, perception, human behavior and interpersonal relations. A single individual’s attitude can be something that this programmed in them as far as their childhood that they have to have nothing but the most recent name brand and highest dollar clothing to be accepted in society or be someone. If they don’t they are likely put down and judged for not fitting in. Another form of this is the popular groups of people in schools such as the preps or just the jocks. When this has been done this person’s values, perceptions, human behavior and interpersonal relations come to truly be can be truly seen. Through ones culture this individual is showing that due to their income they cannot afford the finer things and then they take responsibility that they are not worthy of getting a chance to get to know the popular crowd and they cannot be trusted. These things are all influenced by one or the other their family models, society or even sometimes those who are around the person daily and can impact that person. Nevertheless, through the individual’s culture it can also be scowled upon if they are with another race, social levels or social class, political level, economic level, spiritual level. Discriminatory Factors In some cultures it is not accepted to be around or personally involved with anyone who is of a different race, social class, political, economic, and spiritual level and those who chose to do so may be suffer rejection and misuse from their families and etc., it can also get so extreme to the point of killing them. “The reason is that people from various backgrounds will interpret and formulate the same event differently based on their perceptions and interpretations” (Armache, 2012, pg. 63-64).
