Abstract Why should animals have rights? How are they influencing us today? Is living amongst them with rights really the best thing for human beings? How are we, as a society to evolve, benefit, and learn without the use of animals? How would medical cures be discovered today to save lives, and how would our species live longer if we were to consider animals having rights? If animals had rights, then were would our civilization be today and would be living in the masses that we are today? Where are the activists standing up for human survival? For people to continue moving forward in this earth, we need to go against animals having rights. Against Animal Rights There is a lot argument regarding whether animals are entitled to rights and the consequences of those rights as well; however, there is less debate regarding the part of giving animals their rights and the concerns involved. The problem of animal rights informs society that as a standard, certain things should be considered immoral. Ethically, human beings have a duty towards ceasing from those things. This suggests not doing then even if they are humane. For example, if animals have a right to not becoming bred for food; then society has a responsibility towards prevention actions of this type. It does not make any difference if animals are given very good treatment throughout their lives and afterwards killed without pain or fear, and this is what animal rights stands; however, giving animals these types of rights would have a overwhelming effect on a number of benefits that society enjoys from animals. In addition, social values suggest that animals are not entitled to any rights. For instance, allowing rights to animals would imply that laboratory experiments that are done on them would stop. The main reason why animal testing is done comes with the benefit of supporting society in its discoveries of new drug treatments for the development of the human health. Certainly, many drugs and medical treatment advances have been made possible through animal research, but these discoveries include cures for some cancers, insulin, antibiotics, HIV management drugs, and many other vaccines; these are some of the main reasons why animal testing increases our human health. Another distinction resulting from animal testing comes with experiments done to certify drug safety for humans to use. Animal testing hands researchers with the opportunity of measuring the safety of drug use prior to their certification for human use.
