An advertisement is more than just a commercial or poster. It knows how to get the audience to want it. An advertisement contains a few vital components that can tease the viewers. For example, there are the Ethos, Pathos, and Logos appeals that contribute to the advertisements success. These appeals target the audience’s ethics, emotions and logics. This specific example of an advertisement takes place on a remote island. The first scene opens in a misty and wet rainforest. A very delicate and precious piece of land until a woman in a bright red bikini bursts onto the scene. This woman is out of breath and seems to be searching or even hunting for something. She begins to sprint once again and we realize that there are other females running with this woman. The camera zooms out and we notice that there are hundreds of beautiful girls running through the forest in vibrant bikinis. The camera then cuts to a scene where hundreds of women are swimming to the shores of the island. It seems as if they are in search of something as well. All of these women converge on the island and begin to race towards the middle. These women are fighting and competing against each other in order to reach the finish line first. The camera zooms out to show an overview of the island which contains thousands of women. The thousands of these women seem to be racing towards something in the middle of the island. At the finish line of the race, there stands an average Joe spraying a couple cans of Axe body spray. He is spraying these two cans all around and spinning in circles as he does so. This Average Joe has a huge smile on his face as this parade of women comes running for him. Just as the women reach the Average Joe, The screen goes black. The commercial ends with the quote “Spray More, Get More." Axe body spray makes the user so irresistible that every girl in the world will want him. The women in this commercial appear as very wild, dirty and aggressive people.
