“People who succeed have momentum. The more they succeed, the more they want to succeed, and the more they find a way to succeed. Similarly, when someone is failing, the tendency is to get on a downward spiral that can even become a self-fulfilling prophecy” (Robbins). Success is viewed differently for everyone; people will do anything to reach that ultimate goal they desire. This is because success means doing what you have always wanted to do, being where you have always wanted to be. In real life the true indicator of success is not what is accomplished, but what is felt. In order for teenagers to reach their full potential they must set goals, be motivated to push forward and excel, and to keep working hard to achieving them. The first step for teenagers to reach their full potential, is to set goals they aspire to accomplish. Setting goals enables teenagers to choose their own path to move through life. Setting and meeting goals lead to feelings of satisfaction and fulfillment, as they are the reward to hard work and determination. Goals are the basis to real success in life. A real successful example would be Steve Job’s rise back as CEO and founder of Apple, his own company after having been fired. When Steve Jobs was fired from Apple he set the goal of buying back Apple his own company, and changing the world by leading the technological revolution. Steve Job’s willpower and hard work paid off as he soon achieved his goals as he took over as CEO of Apple in 1997, having shaped history with the iMac and his innovative ideas. Wise word that Steve Job’s has lived by were “ Believe that things will workout Follow your intuition and curiosity Trust your heart even when it leads you off the well worn-path. Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary”.
