I demonstrate many acts of service, always seeking community and school improvement as Key Club President, Debate Club Co-founder, and an artist. This scholarship would allow me to go to college to achieve my aspirations of putting a spotlight on problems in society that the world must no longer ignore. As a purpose driven leader, I rally to eradicate problems in society, and advance the opportunities of others. As a result of my purpose, I have excitedly chosen a career that has the good intentions of improving society through acts of service. I will major in film & media studies. With a degree in film & media studies, I will pursue a career in film production. I aspire to work with VICE News in creating documentaries about the world’s most important topics. In doing so, I will establish a network of individuals who embrace diversity and pave the way for others. To do so I will embark on a journey to become a pioneer and leave an impact vast beyond my community; equipping myself to be a leader on all fronts of human enterprise. I will attend Hofstra University and major in Film Studies. I choose to pursue media and cinema studies, because I want to learn how to support others voice and vision through film, a powerful device that I use to communicate my individual voice and vision. In college I will put my skills to use by producing and creating videos for volunteer and community service clubs/organizations, to ultimately develop a memorable, impactful video for their cause. I strive to support others through film. I will spotlight problems in society that the world must not ignore.
