Introduction Schnell was started in Italy in 1962 with a small group of 30 people, the motive of the company was to turn rebar processing – a dirty, hard and difficult job – into a modern, organized, clean and technological industrial activity. [Onl] Presently Schnell has become a leading industrial Group worldwide in the field of automatic machines and software for rebar processing. The workforce of 30 people has increased to 300 units who work in its 14 plants all around the world. In 2006 Schnell’s income was well over 90 million euros and Schnell currently holds more than 20% of the global market share.[Onl] The fast increase in the size of the Schnell group is the result of continuous acquisitions, where it overcame it rivals by its technically advanced machinery and heavy research and development and eventually running them out of business and eventually acquiring their business. Also due to a strong tradition of service delivery to individual people, small businesses and large enterprises, deeper rooting in various non-European countries, Schnell is at the same time considered to be the engineering solution for a changing world. Its first advantage is the confidence that their clients place is there, which has been built up over time and also as Schnell has been able to design and produce innovative machines which have marked the changes in rebar processing in the world.[Onl] The ability of listening to our clients’ demands and needs is probably the most important feature of the company and also to provide the solutions which is in the best interests of the client. In such open-minded and creative environment it is possible to work together to find the best solutions for any kind of rebar processing. [Onl] Organizational Structure Schnell Group is a multinational reality made up of 14 companies - 7 for machine production, 1 for software programs and 5 for service supply.
