It's a hot Saturday morning and the light breeze of the trade winds blow past your face while you make your way to this breathtaking trail. Before reaching this trail you must make your way through all the hurdles like you are going through an obstacle course. Your first snag in the road would be crossing the Honoapiilani highway, were cars are speeding like a NASCAR race. After successfully completing that hurdle, you must then keep your eye out for incoming golf balls as you hustle your way through the Kapalua golf course. Succeeding those dangerous obstructions, you are officially at the beginning of the walking trail. As the lush amount of greenery towers over you like you’re walking through a jungle, you slowly but surly make your way through. The sound of mynah birds communicating with each other, like a group of girls gossiping about a hot boy. The electrifying smell of sweet guava lingers in the air along with the earthy smell of cook pine trees, and the earthy smell of fresh cut grass. As you continue along this pathway, the roots of the trees begin to force their way through the cement. While you maintain on the path at a steady pace, you come across a brown sign as big as a human that gives you the option to go right or left. As you stand there debating which way to go, the cool wind blows through your hair as if you were using a blow dryer. Although you have chosen to take the left path, they will both lead to the same place. After walking an hour and a half up steep hills that feel like they’re never going to end, you reach the bottom of the dreaded hill. The gigantic, steep hill is staring you down like a wolf about to pounce on its prey. As you stand there in awe, you see the heat waves rushing across the black cement like a tourist running to the water as the sand burns the bottom of there feet.
