I. Introduction Not many people can say they have played a professional sport. Even less people can say they were an All-Star in their respective sports. And next to no one can say they have made a professional sports hall of fame. Well, Hank Aaron has done all those things, and was a first ballot hall of famer. Something most people truly can only dream about. I am going to tell you about how great Hank Aaron’s career truly was and why he is THE best in my opinion to ever play the game. II. Body 1. Not only was Hank Aaron an all-star, he was a 20x all-star. That is absolutely incredible. Most MLB players don’t even play for 20 years, let alone one of the best players in the league for 20 years. 2. Aaron made the All-Star team every year from 1955 through 1975 and won three Gold Glove Awards. In 1957, he won the NL Most Valuable Player Award, while that same year, the Braves won the World Series. Aaron's consistency helped him to establish a number of important hitting records. He holds the MLB records for the most career runs batted in RBI’S at 2,297. He has the most career extra base hits 1,477, and the most career total bases 6856. Aaron is also in the top five for career hits with 3,771,which makes him 3rd, and runs with 2,174, which is tied for fourth with Babe Ruth. He is one of only four players to have at least seventeen seasons with 150 or more hits. He also is in second place in home runs at 755 and at-bats 12,364, and in third place in games played 3,298. Those last two stats prove how durable he was. Hank Aaron was like a tank, nothing could faze him. 3. These stats are pretty damn amazing. No one even is comparable, aside from Barry Bonds. Hank Aaron was like the Hercules of baseball in his era. 4. Although Hank Aaron wasn’t the first black MVP, or first black to play in the MLB, he was a huge part in the transition of African American’s in the game of baseball. Aside from Jackie Robin
