A child is like a blank piece of paper; with the help of their parents as the years pass by, this blank sheet of paper will be full of words, sentences, paragraphs, and markings. Parents should take full responsibility on their children, because once the parents raised their children in a good way, then the child will probably end with a bright future. Parents don’t have the right to blame the government because of what their children had ended up with, it is their role to teach and raise their children with all their best and strength. As the price of commercial products rises, the number of population also rises. Imagine how many number of street children who haven’t got the chance to enter school and learn something new. Children is the most important gift a parent will receive form god, so they have to take good care of them, raise them well, and should mold them into a responsible and very good asset of the community. Many children are roaming around the streets each and every day. I keep on wondering about they are supposed to go to school, to study, to learn something new, and to discover the world. The government has launched programs to lessen the number of out of school children, like PANTAWID PAMILYANG PILIPINO PROGRAM (4Ps) which aim is to provide financial assistance for the poor families and in exchange the parents must send their children to school. Why there are still children in the streets when they are expected to go to school? Who is the one to blame for this problem? Of course it’s the parents. According to Presidential Degree N. 603 “CHILD AND YOUTH WELFARE CODE” states that every child has 12 rights, one this right is the right to be educated. How come their parents never send them to school, instead they want their children to look for work and gain money for their family.
